About Us
Our Story
What began as a mustard seed within Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CDA), Court Redeemer's Angels #2456, has grown into something far greater than we could have imagined. What started with the spiritual and financial sponsorship of two seminarians and the creation of a ConventCare initiative—adopting a local community of Poor Clare Cloistered Sisters—has continued to blossom through God's grace and the generosity of many faithful supporters.
As this mission expanded and our commitment to supporting vocations throughout the Diocese of Richmond deepened, it became clear that a broader effort was needed. With the support of Court Redeemer's Angels #2456, a new nonprofit organization, RVA Vocations Care, was launched.
RVA Vocations Care is dedicated to supporting all religious vocations, regardless of where an individual may be on their vocational journey. This includes priests, deacons and their families, seminarians, and religious brothers and sisters. Our vision is to help those who are called by God flourish in their vocation while strengthening the future of the Church for generations to come.
Through both spiritual and financial support, we will support individuals at any stage of their vocation's journey—from those discerning a call, to those in formation, to active clergy and religious, and even those who have entered retirement after years of faithful service.
In addition, we place a strong emphasis on Community Care, fostering connections between the faithful, the parishes within the Diocese and those who have dedicated their lives to serving Christ and His Church.
Just as the mustard seed grows into something much larger than itself, we pray that RVA Vocations Care will continue to grow, inspiring others to embrace the responsibility of supporting vocations and helping build a vibrant future for our Church.
