VOCATION CHAMPIONS
Celebrating the parishes, ministries, organizations, and individuals who are investing their time, talent, prayers, and resources in the future of vocations across the Diocese of Richmond.
Saint Clare of Assisi Retreat Center is helping foster a culture of vocations through its Traveling Vocation Chalice Initiative.
The Vocation Chalice travels from family to family, giving each household the opportunity to host the chalice and pray daily for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, religious life, and other forms of consecrated service.
This beautiful initiative also invites families to pray for those who are discerning God's call, asking that they be given the courage, clarity, and openness to hear where God is leading them.

Redeemer’s Angels #2456 has made supporting vocations an important part of their ministry, providing both financial and spiritual support to those who have answered God’s call. Their commitment includes:
-
Supporting two seminarians through financial assistance, prayer, encouragement, and ongoing spiritual support as they journey toward the priesthood.
-
Building a strong relationship with the Poor Clare Monastery, responding to the needs of the Sisters and offering hands-on assistance throughout the year.
Redeemer's Angels dedication to prayer, service, and community is a beautiful example of what it means to be a Vocation Champion. Thank you, Redeemer’s Angels, for investing in vocations and serving those who have dedicated their lives to serving the Church.
Knights of Columbus Council #11042 based in Mechanicsville. VA is a wonderful example of putting faith into action in support of vocations.
Through generosity and service, this Council sponsors two seminarians and supports Poor Clare Monastery (Barhamsville, VA) with annual mulch delivery and financially supporting the Pack the Pantry drive held annually. This Council has also hosted a number of events supporting Vocations throughout the year!
Thank you, Knights of Columbus Council #11042, for being a true Vocation Champion!

What began as a simple idea has blossomed into an amazing journey of faith, prayer, and vocations!
The Poor Clare Sisters lovingly handcraft each set of Journey Rosary Beads and have them blessed before they begin their journey. Each rosary then travels from person to person, inviting people to pray for vocations across the Diocese of Richmond and for those discerning God's call.
The Journey Rosary Beads have become more than a beautiful sacramental—they are a tangible reminder that every vocation journey begins with prayer.
Every bead tells a story. Every prayer supports a vocation. Every journey begins with a call. 100% of proceeds from Journey Rosary Beads support vocations through RVA Vocations Care.
